Three star tight end Chris Garrison from nearby Lawrence Academy is a dude. One of the Bay State's top ranked recruits in 2015, Garrison chooses the Eagles over claimed offers from Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maryland, New Hampshire and Syracuse. I'd say fence building efforts in Massachusetts are going well.
Must Reads
Garrison is going to be an interesting recruit for Boston College, because in high school he played primarily wide receiver. He has the size and build of a wide receiver, but BC recruited him to tight end. He has good hands, which you would hope for someone at WR, and has the experience of lining up in the h-back slot which is good as well because he gives BC some flexibility.
Not sure what BC has in mind for Garrison. They could have him bulk up a lot to fit the mold of the BC tight ends we have seen in the past few years like Louie Addazio and Michael Giacone, or they could have him add a little more size and turn him into a tight end who is more of a pass catcher. If they choose the latter that will be the first tight end we have had on this team to fill that role since Chris Pantale three years ago. I think it's a skill player BC sorely needs, but not sure if that is what Addazio will use him for.
Here are Chris' highlights via Hudl:
