Darius Wade appears to be the Boston College quarterback of the future, but a 2015 early enrollee could push him for playing time early.
Montclair (N.J.) dual threat quarterback Elijah Robinson is an Eagle; one of four early enrollees in this year's recruiting class. Robinson, a three-star recruit, was a highly sought quarterback and selects Boston College over claimed offers from Cincinnati, Connecticut, UMass, Nebraska, Rutgers, Temple, Michigan State and Virginia, as well as all three service academies.
Must Reads
Robinson reminds me a lot of Tyler Murphy. He doesn't necessarily have the most fluid arm motion, but he makes up for that with his legs. He is quick, and looks like he ran a similar offense in high school, which should help with his transition to the college ranks. His arm looks relatively accurate, but it will be tested against much more talented cornerbacks.
As I mentioned, Darius Wade appears to be the logical starting quarterback in 2015, but Elijah Robinson could give him a run if he impresses this spring. Of course you can't forget about Troy Flutie as well, but it wouldn't surprise me if Robinson is on the two-deep to start this season given the lack of depth at the position and his familiarity with a similar offense installed in high school.
