Boston College Football Recruiting: Tight End Patrick Brown Commits To Eagles

A west coast #SOAR

Winslow Townson-USA TODAY Sports

Boston College received their fifth commit for the Class of 2017, as tight end Patrick Brown announced on Twitter today that he has committed to Steve Addazio and the Eagles:

Brown, a 6'5 tight end from Cathedral Catholic High School in San Diego, California is considered a 3* recruit by Rivals. According to his recruiting page he has offers from Hawaii, and home town school San Diego State. Both 247 and Rivals say that Indiana and Boise State were other schools of interest. He is teammates of Tate Haynes, a QB Boston College offered last week as well.

Just looking at his film, Brown looks to have a pretty solid set of hands and decent speed. Many of his highlights showcase him getting good yards after the catch. It's always hard to tell though with highlight reels, some of his other game films makes him appear to be a blocking tight end. We will just have to wait and see what he becomes when/if he gets to campus.

You can check out his film below. Leave your thoughts in the comment section.

Welcome to the Heights Patrick!
