National Signing Day came and went today, and Boston College wrapped up their 2016 class with 19 freshman recruits, along with two graduate transfers.
The day started off with the announcement of Patrick Towles, a transfer quarterback from Kentucky, who will be completing his graduate work at Boston College. He comes to BC after finishing last season with the Wildcats passing for 2100 yards 9 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. The other graduate transfer is Satchel Ziffler, a punter from Old Dominion. He finished last season averaging 40.16 yards per punt. The Eagles also added huge offensive lineman Jimmy Lowery out of Eastern Illinois. He could add experience up front, and could be starting on day one.
Two players also reported to campus early, quarterback Anthony Brown and linebacker Ethan Tucky. Both of the recruits will be ready for spring ball.
There were two last minute flips for Boston College as well, that were already reported on BCI. Hamp Cheevers, a 5'11 defensive back from Trenton Florida finally decided on the Eagles, and will report to camp this fall. Also, Elijah Johnson a massive offensive tackle, also selected the Eagles, only a week after decommiting from Rutgers.
