It was a big recruiting weekend for Boston College football, as a marquee opponent came to town, which always leads to recruits visiting the campus. Let's take a look at some of the biggest recruiting news.
4 Star Digging The Eagles

Eric Burrell, a 4* safety from Owings Mills, Maryland named Boston College in his Top 5. Recently BC wasn't near the top for Burrell so this news is interesting as it appears that the Eagles could be rising up his board. Watching a defense dominate has to be attractive to a recruit so this news isn't that big of a surprise. According to Rivals, the 20th ranked safety in the country has yet to visit Boston College. According to the Crystal Ball at 247Sports, the experts have predicted him to Duke (77%).
Out Of The Running With Niang?
According to the Ruden Report, which appears to be a Connecticut area blog, New Canaan offensive tackle Lucas Niang has chosen his top 5, and the list does not include Boston College. According to the report, Niang's top 5 now are Miami, Rutgers, TCU, Auburn and Oregon. The report even quotes Niang about his choices: "They were the best fit for me," Niang said. "They are places I thought I could succeed and get a great education. And they are the five places I liked best" . This is interesting because 247 has him still as 100% to BC. Conflicting stories, not sure which is true.
Trio Visits Boston College
According to an article by EagleAction, a trio of local recruits visited Boston College during the Florida State game. Milton cornerback Michael Silva, a 2017 cornerback with no current offers watched the game along with Blake Gallagher from Needham (St. Sebastians) and Austin Burton a pro style quarterback from Newton. Gallagher is the biggest recruit from the group, a 3* he already holds offers from Maryland, BC, Duke, Nebraska, UNC, Pittsburgh and Virginia. Burton currently doesn't have a rating and holds an offer from UMass.
