Boston College Football Recruiting: TE/DE Ray Marten Commits To Eagles

New, comments

Another Eagle is in the mix.

June has historically been a busy month for the Eagles on the recruiting trail under Steve Addazio. Today Ray Marten a tight end/defensive end from Brooklyn, NY committed to the Eagles according to a tweet from his school.

Marten, a 6-4 225 pounder from the Poly Prep School in Brooklyn, is the 8th commit for the 2016 class. He also held offers from Wisconsin, Syracuse, Rutgers and lesser schools like UConn. He also had interest from Penn State and Notre Dame. Currently he is considered a 3* recruit by Rivals, and is ranked the #4 recruit in the state of New York. No word yet on how Boston College plans on using him.  The Eagles currently already have a DE Brandon Barlow, and a TE Scooter Harrington on the roster. They may want at TE, as they are clearly going after more than one at that position in this class.

You can follow Marten on Twitter @Ray_Marten, unfortunately his HUDL films are private Welcome to the Heights Ray!
