2016 tight end recruit Danny Dalton has reopened his recruitment and decommitted from Boston College.
Dalton tweeted out the following on Monday night:
I am officially reopening my recruitment. I will be de-committing from BC. I want to thank the staff for the opportunity & their effort.

Dalton had been the first 2016 in-state commit for Steve Addazio after giving the Eagles his verbal back in February. Since then, however, he kept his options open, including a recruiting trip to Rutgers. About a month after his commitment to BC, he was offered a scholarship from the University of Alabama.
A 6'5", 230-pound tight end, Dalton would've been a great fit for the Eagles, especially in the H-back, pass-catching tight end role coveted within the Steve Addazio scheme. A top-five in-state recruit, he's received offered from UMass and had been shown interest by Penn State and Connecticut, in addition to BC, Alabama, and Rutgers.
BC still has the commitment of Scooter Harrington, a similar-built tight end from Greenwich, CT who chose The Heights over several other institutions, including Wisconsin.
