The 3* Harrington is a great grab for the Eagles for a number of reasons. One, he is a legacy: his father Scott was the captain of the 1984-'85 team that won the Cotton Bowl (the Hail Flutie year). Second, he had numerous major offers from similar schools such as Wake Forest, Virginia, N.C. State, Rutgers and Pittsburgh. Other low level schools like Connecticut offered him as well. Finally, he is considered one of the elite recruits in Connecticut, rated the number #4 recruit in the state.
Scooter is considered a tight end, and would be the second tight end of the class, joining Danny Dalton who committed early last week. Harrington is from the Mean Streets of Greenwich Ct.
His film can be found below. Welcome to the Heights Scooter!
