An Eagle Has Landed
It's been a while since Boston College has received a commit, but that all changed on Friday as Pennsylvania Athlete Da'Vante Cross committed to the Eagles.

The Allentown Pennsylvania native (home of legendary BC running back Andre Williams) had offers from Syracuse and a bevy of FCS schools. He is listed on Rivals as a dual threat QB but according to reliable sources he will be an athlete, as Anthony Brown will be the only quarterback taken in this class. Projecting out, it would make sense if they move him to defensive back, something that Rivals had said earlier that Boston College is still looking to fill (especially with the loss of Christian Lezzer). The unrated Cross is the 16th recruit for this class.
Offers Out
Rivals had an interesting break down on BC's recent offer to Mike Tverdov a defensive end, Class of 2017. The recruit who Justin Rowand says impressed BC with his size, also holds offers from Rutgers, and Temple. Currently 247's Crystal Ball has him at 100% towards Rutgers, but the recruiting cycle is early, Boston College's impressive run on defense could start to raise some eyebrows of recruits who want to play under an elite defensive coordinator like Don Brown.
Speaking of defense, BC is also going after Malik Robinson of Georgia pretty hard. The 3* linebacker already has offers from Miami, Auburn and others, but Al Washington is on the trail trying to close the deal on this 2017 recruit. Should be a name to watch for.
Current Class
In case you were wondering here is the current Class of 2016 for the Boston College Eagles. The Eagles most likely still have a few slots left to fill, probably at running back and offensive lineman.
