Incoming football recruit Ben Glines (Cincinnati, Ohio) has been selected to the 2015 U.S. Under-19 National Team, according to an announcement by USA Football. The U.S. Under-19 National Team will take on Team Canada at 1 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 7, at Maverick Stadium at the University of Texas at Arlington.
A versatile offensive threat at St. Xavier High School, Glines is verbally committed to play at Boston College. The 6-2, 200-pound wideout accumulated more than 2,200 all-purpose yards during his high school career, helping the Bombers reach the state semifinals this fall. Glines rushed for nearly 1,000 yards during his senior season with 14 touchdowns. He has 27 career receptions for 274 yards and two touchdowns.
Boston College was in early on the three-star athlete from St. Xavier High School in Cincinnati, Ohio. Glines verballed to the Eagles over claimed offers from Akron, Toledo and Western Michigan. At the time of his verbal, Glines was Addazio's first 2015 commit from outside the Northeast, and one who continues a pretty robust recruiting pipeline at St. X for BC. Luke Kuechly, Steven Daniels and Sean Duggan are all former Bombers-turned-Eagles in recent years.
Past U.S. National Team games have been aired on Fox Sports, ESPN3 and USA Football's YouTube page. While USA Football is still negotiating with networks for the 2015 game, at the very least, the 2015 International Bowl will be streamed live on the YouTube channel again.
