Boston College Football Recruiting: LB Tanner Karafa Commits To Eagles

Three commits in one day?

Can you believe that Boston College received three commitments in one day? Well that is exactly what happened today, as the Eagles received their third commitment in 24 hours. This time the recruit is Virginia linebacker Tanner Karafa who recently tweeted out:

Karafa has the frame already to be an effective NCAA linebacker at 6'3 230lbs. He is a 3* recruit with offers from the Virginia Cavaliers, Virginia Tech Hokies, Kentucky Wildcats along with a bevy of Sun Belt, MAC and other lower conferences. According to 247sports he is rated the 38th highest inside linebacker of the class. According to all reports Karafa is a very physical player, who should fit the mold of players that Addazio is searching for. He plays both sides of the ball:

"I’m able to feel plays on defense, I know what’s going on in the field and I’m just trying to attack," Karafa said. "On offense I’m more so putting people on their back, just trying to take you down."

What strikes me about Tanner's play (via his films) is his tackling and ability to shed blocks. He explodes off the snap, and quickly rids defenders on his way to the ball. That is excellent and reminds me a lot of some of the more explosive BC linebackers we have seen in the past. You can check out Tanner's HUDL film here:
