Amidst the hockey fail and basketball coach ambiguity, Boston College athletics did receive some good news on Sunday night. Shepherd Hill guard (MA) Chris Lindstrom committed to the Eagles.
I have verbally committed to Boston College! #Beadude
— Chris Lindstrom (@Big_Fish68) March 16, 2014
As a junior the 6'5 240 lbs Lindstrom was named to the Worcester Telegram and Gazette Superteam, and was the Massachusetts Division 4 Co-Offensive Player of the Year and SWCL Player of the Year. Clearly at his size he is going to need to bulk up, but he has time, he still is only a junior.
Lindstrom is a 3* recruit on Rivals, with no other offers other than Old Dominion where he was recruited by old BC friend Jeff Commissiong, but schools such as Maryland and Kansas State have been showing interest. He mentioned Al Washington as one of his lead recruiters, and that Al would "send him letters every day" about why he should be come an Eagle. Lindstrom also had some conversations with Steve Addazio, who talked to him about how even with injury (Jon Baker), BC would honor their word.
A teammate of current BC freshman, cornerback Isaac Yiadom, Lindstrom has a family lineage that includes a father that played football for Boston University and in the NFL and an uncle that played for the Eagles. He cited that BC's history of successful linemen and BC's goal of making the team a family as reasons why he wanted to come to the Eagles.
One of the more interesting nuggets in the article talked about when Lindstrom would enroll. According to the article, he is planning on loading up on credits over the summer so he can graduate in December. That seems to imply that Lindstrom will be an early enrollee, and will not count against the 2015 recruiting numbers. He joins OT Anthony Palazzolo as members of the upcoming recruit class.

Welcome to the Heights Chris!
