With Christmas on Wednesday and the Eagles preparing for the AdvoCare V100 Bowl next week, you would think recruiting activity would slow a bit heading into the winter break. You would be mistaken.
Steve Addazio and the Eagles' coaching staff are on the board in 2015, receiving a verbal commitment from Fairfield Prep (Connecticut) offensive tackle Anthony Palazzolo according to Mike Pucci of the New Haven Register.

I suppose it's only fitting that Addazio's first verbal commitment in the 2015 class is an offensive lineman from a Jesuit Catholic school in Connecticut. Palazzolo, a 6-foot-6, 302 pound offensive tackle out of Fairfield Prep, chooses the Eagles over claimed offers from Pittsburgh and Connecticut. Maryland, Miami, Nebraska, Rutgers and Temple have also shown interest. Don Brown is credited as the primary recruiter for the junior OT.
Palazzolo is rated as a four-star offensive lineman by Rivals.com and the 29th OT in the 2015 class. 247Sports rates Palazzolo as a three-star recruit -- 3rd overall in Connecticut and the 59th best OT in next year's class. Scout and ESPN also have Palazzolo as a three-star recruit.
Addazio has previously mentioned that he would like to be right at 16 scholarship offensive linemen. In 2015, the staff will have to replace a minimum of five players on the line (Gallik, H. Williams, Betancourt, Kramer and Vardaro) so it's looking like the OL will be a big focus of the 2015 class. What better way to kick off the 2015 recruiting class than with a highly-touted offensive lineman hailing from Boston College's own backyard.
Welcome to O-Line U, Anthony!
