Strengths: Originally committed to Kansas, Austin Stevens was a late flip for Coach Steve Addazio. His films are a lot of fun to watch (great choice of music with Hells Bells by AC/DC), it showcases a one man wrecking crew on defense. He is another big player, which apparently was high on Addazio's qualities he looked for in players. Not overly fast, but appears very strong, blasting offensive linemen (albeit undersized players) off the ball.
Realistic Outlook: Stevens strikes me as a depth guy, and probably not a guy we will see for the next couple of years. He has a good frame, but Landry and Vitiello both seem more game ready in the immediate future. But as always, having depth is never a bad thing. Stevens is probably going to need some seasoning to be ready for Don Brown's offense, so I would expect him to be redshirted in 2014, and ready to roll out in 2015.
