Kamrin Moore attended one of BC's summer camps and wasted little time in becoming the Eagles' 14th commitment of the 2014 class. Boston College is Moore's only claimed offer and there's little information out there about him. What we do know is that he runs a 4.5 40. You can see his speed showcased in his Hudl highlights.
Strengths: One thing that comes through on Moore's film is that he's got good speed, a high football IQ and is good in single coverage as a defensive back. The shifty two-way player plays both running back and strong safety for Bishop Denis J. O'Connell in Arlington, Virginia. He's not the most highly rated of defensive backs but has some good hops and isn't afraid to punish would-be receivers. Moore can pack a punch.
Realistic Outlook: One of Moore's biggest strengths is his versatility, projecting as either a cornerback or safety at BC. The secondary really struggled against the pass last season and Moore's physicality and speed should pay off down the line. Next year, I would expect the hard-hitting defensive back to be a contributor on special teams with an outside chance of cracking the two-deep at secondary. There is an opportunity there with the losses of both Louis-Jean and Rositano, though the defensive backs are one of the deeper units on the team next season.
