Rankings: Rivals 2*, Not on Scout.com, ESPN 2* (66 overall, 200 position, 12 state), 247 Sports 3* (82 overall, 126 position, 13 state). Boston College was Troy's only offer. Recruited by Kevin Lempa and Todd Fitch.

Strengths: Flutie had a legendary senior season at Natick High School where he shattered Massachusetts passing records. He is mobile and can move, but was recruited as a wide receiver, a position he did not play during his senior season. He certainly has the speed to be a slot receiver, but because there isn't a lot of film of him running routes, it's hard to get a grasp on what he could do as a wide out.

Realistic Outlook: It's great to have another Flutie come through Boston College, but I'm not totally sure what role he will play with the team. He is switching positions, so you have to imagine that he is going to be redshirted for 2014 as he learns the position. Then again, he may stick at quarterback, and may get a shot to be a backup to Darius Wade moving forward. Certainly Steve Addazio and Ryan Day will do their due diligence to figure out what role Flutie will most effectively fill for the Eagles. If it's a wide out, I project Troy to become a jack of all trades like Billy Flutie. Maybe a lower on the depth chart receiver, special teamer.
