Leading up to National Signing Day, BC Interruption will be profiling each of the recruits coming into the program in 2014. Here's a look at the early enrollee, cornerback Allen Dawson.

Strengths: Admittedly not much is known about the prep school safety. Dawson, originally a 2013 recruit, reclassified and spent an extra year at Cheshire Academy in Connecticut to develop and better hone his skills. The year seemingly paid off after he received an offer from BC. Maryland, Penn State and UConn all showed various interest in the defensive back.
Realistic Outlook: Dawson enrolled in January and is already working with the team. With the departures of Spenser Rositano (concussions) and Al Louis-Jean Jr. (NFL Draft), the Eagles' secondary takes a bit of a hit so it makes sense that the staff would bring him in early; especially with an additional year of prep school under his belt. BC's much maligned secondary still has some depth and with players like Dominique Williams, Sean Sylvia, Matt Milano, Justin Simmons and fellow incoming freshman Isaac Yiadom, I would be surprised to see Dawson crack the two-deep in 2014. That's not to suggest that he won't see the field next year. I could see Dawson being used sparingly in pass coverage but also as a solid special teams contributor next season.
