Boston College football has received its 18th commitment and second in as many days. This time it is linebacker Ty Schwab an outside linebacker from Merritt Island, Florida.

— Ty Schwab (@SchwabTy) June 24, 2013
Schwab is yet another commit that has come out of camp. Currently he holds offers from Massachusetts, Tulane, UTEP and Western Michigan and held interest from Miami, where he was planning on camping tomorrow but held out due to a hip flexor. He camped with South Florida over the weekend.
Rated a 2* by Rivals, the 6-foot-2, 208 pounder will be the fourth linebacker in the class joining Connor Strachan, Christian Lezzer and Kevin Cohee (who may be playing another position). He has good size and with 4.6 40-yard-dash speed he has decent speed for a linebacker. Schwab is important as well because he is the first recruit in this class to hail from Florida, an area BC needs to be involved in.
