Addazio has landed his first dual-threat QB for the Class of 2014 in Middletown, Delaware's Darius Wade. The 6-foot-2, 183 pound signal caller gave a verbal commitment to the Eagles last night. In addition to BC, Wade claims offers from Nebraska, Syracuse, N.C. State, Temple and Massachusetts. He recently took an unofficial visit to Chestnut Hill over the weekend.
Three-star QB Darius Wade has committed to Boston College. Addazio and Co. are rolling right now. #BCEagles.... bit.ly/Z4N3oE

A three-star recruit per Rivals and 247, Wade passed for 2,275 yards and 27 touchdowns and rushed for 546 yards and seven more scores as a junior. The best part is that Wade gave credit to fellow Boston College commit Marcus Outlow on his commitment. That's exactly the type of early recruiting season momentum that Addazio needs as he looks to put together the class that is going to be a big part of the turnaround on the Heights.
Wade's verbal commitment brings the Class of 2014 to four commits. He's the first QB in the class of 2014 and third on the offensive side of the ball. It's early, but Boston College's 2014 class now ranks 27th nationally in 247 Sports Composite Team Rankings, behind Florida State, Miami, Virginia Tech, Clemson and Virginia in the ACC.
Welcome to the Heights, Darius!
