Juwann Bushell-Beatty, Rivals.com's No. 29 OT rated 2014 recruit, has committed to Michigan, according to Scout/FoxSports.com's Sam Webb. The 6-foot-5, 295 pound offensive tackle out of Paramus Catholic in New Jersey choses the Wolverines over Boston College and Florida, the other finalists for his services.
Bushell-Beatty claims offers from more than a half-dozen BCS AQ programs including Florida State, Miami, Michigan State, Tennessee, Rutgers and West Virginia. To even finish in Bushell-Beatty's top three has to be considered a win for Addazio and company. Pretty sure BC isn't even in the conversation at this time a year ago and not just because the previous coaching staff failed to land one player on the O-Line in the 2013 recruiting class.
Gotta crawl before you can walk.
During Addazio's National Signing Day press conference, he talked about how carrying 16 offensive lineman on the roster would be the magic number for BC. With the Eagles having already landed one lineman in the 2014 class -- three-star OG Jon Baker (Millis, Ma.) -- have to think that Addazio and crew will add at least two more lineman to next year's class barring any roster attrition.
