Boston College received another commitment on Monday, this time from Florida safety Allen Dawson.
Officially committed to Boston College! I couldn’t be more humbled and blessed to have this opportunity! #ACC #WeAreBC

Dawson is an interesting pickup for the Eagle as he was considered a 2013 recruit, and didn't receive any offers in his original recruitment. But he went to a prep school for a year to try and garner interest from more schools which apparently worked as along with BC, UConn, Maryland and Penn State all showed interest in him. Boston College at the time is his only offer.
The addition of the 6-foot, 193 pound Dawson gives BC their second defensive back in this class joining Kamrin Moore. With rumors swirling around regarding the future of Spencer Rositano, this offer makes a lot of sense.

Boston College is now up to 23 commits for the 2014 class. With the way they have been playing, it wouldn't surprise me if they add at least two more before January's signing day. One of more likely candidate would most likely be Zeek Rodney, a defensive tackle from South Carolina that will be visiting Boston College in December.
Welcome to the Heights, Allen!
