Boston College Football Recruiting: RB Tyler Rouse Commits To The Eagles

A look at a 2013 BC commit running back Tyler Rouse

Tyler Rouse

Hometown: Baldwinsville, NY
High School: Baker High School
Position: HB
Height: 5-foot-7
Weight: 180 lbs
40: N/A
Twitter: unknown

Rankings: Rivals N/A (position NA), Scout N/A* (position N/A), ESPN N/A (rated N/A, N/A position, N/A state), 247 Sports N/A (rated N/A, position N/A, state N/A). Boston College was Tyler Rouse's first and only offer.

Stats: Finished senior season with 333 carries for 2,977 yards and 45 touchdowns. Was named Gatorade Player Of The Year for the state of New York.

Strengths: Reminds me of a Ray Rice and Maurice Jones Drew in his style of running. He is short but all muscles. Not afraid of contact, not the fastest runner but is quick and can separate from defenders. In terms of BC style of running backs he is like a Deuce Finch.

Realistic Outlook: Possibly one of the biggest steals of the 2013 recruiting class, I honestly think that Rouse could be a starting running back this year if he is needed. Like Willis he could provide good depth at RB, and will be a great change of pace back to Myles Willis. Other schools like Syracuse, UConn and Temple that passed on him are going to regret it. Even if he doesn't play much this year, he will be a guy to watch for in future seasons, especially in Addazio's run heavy offenses.

Welcome to the Heights, Tyler!
