Matthew Milano
Hometown: Orlando, Florida
High School: Dr. Phillips
Position: Safety
Height: 6-foot-1
Weight: 202 lbs
40: 4.55
Rankings: Rivals 3* (position 65, State 25), Scout 2* (position 183), ESPN 3* (rated a 73, 74 position, 206 state), 247 Sports 3* (rated an 80, position 116 state 225). Selected Boston College over Arizona, Air Force, Bowling Green, Miami. Originally recruited by Jeff Commissiong.
Strengths: Matt was All State 1st Defense his junior year at Dr. Phillips. His tapes show a kid that does a great job diagnosing plays quickly, and makes big hits. Sheds blocks effectively, which is a huge must especially after watching BC defenders swallowed up last year over and over again.
Realistic Outlook: Find it interesting that Rivals has him so highly rated in the state of Florida, while the other three services have him rated similarly. He looks like a solid recruit, who will fit in perfectly with Don Brown's aggressive defense schemes. BC has solid depth at the safety position, so he might not play next season, but with some good coaching Milano could be a great contributor in future seasons.
Highlights:
Welcome to the Heights, Matt!
