Boston College vs. Pittsburgh Football: Eagles Open As 3-Point Home Underdog Vs. Panthers

After declaring victory in the "Bay For The Bay State," Boston College now shifts attention to its week 2 opponent, the Pittsburgh Panthers.

Vegas oddsmakers expect a close game between the Eagles and Panthers as the Wynn Las Vegas has installed Boston College as a 3-point underdog for this Friday's home game against Pitt. The Panthers are coming off a 62-0 drubbing of (head coach Dave Brock and the) Delaware Blue Hens in week 1, while the Eagles finally found the end zone in the second half en route to a 30-7 victory over their Commonwealth "rivals."

This is the first meeting between the two programs as members of the ACC. Despite the occasional blowout, Boston College and Pitt have played in some tightly contested battles during their time in the Big East. Six of the last 10 meetings were decided by one score or less, with two of the last three meetings going to overtime -- both BC losses.
