What a couple of weeks we've had.
Last week, we endured a bye week full of questions and heated debate in the wake of the loss to Colorado State. This week, it's not even Thursday and already we've had a full slate of Boston College-related content. And the good times continue tonight as BCI Radio hosts its second show this week.
Tonight, Dan and AJ are back with regular programming. The Eagles football team is heading south to take on NC State in Raleigh in a huge midseason matchup with an ACC Atlantic Division foe. The Wolfpack are 4-2 on the season, beneficiaries of a ridiculously weak non-conference schedule. But they're 0-2 where it matters, in league play. That said, those two losses came to two extremely tough teams - Clemson and Florida State. So we're not sure what NC State is really like as a team.
Then again, we can say the same thing about BC.
On the one hand, Boston College is the team handing USC their first of two losses this year (the other being to a good Arizona State team). On the other hand, BC is coming off a bad loss to Colorado State with two weeks to prepare for their second ACC matchup.
The Wolfpack are unlikely to make the ACC Championship at this stage already without some major help. A loss at home to the Eagles would most likely end those chances. BC is 0-1 in league play but still has both Clemson and FSU on the schedule. A loss to NCSU would likely deeply hurt BC's chances (even though they technically could control their own destiny), while at the same time sending shockwaves through the possibility of a bowl game berth.
In short, it's a must-win for both teams.
So tune in tonight at 8 PM Eastern time and call in at 646-200-0446 as we set our eyes on Saturday's 3:30 matchup between the Eagles and Wolfpack. It's the ACC Atlantic Division opener for BC, and it's a huge midseason matchup. We've got you covered as always, and GO EAGLES!
