Boston College senior running back Andre Williams continues to straight up truck fools on his way to a record breaking season. Williams rushed for 263 yards on 32 carries and 2 TDs to lead the Eagles to a 29-26 come-from-behind victory over Maryland. Over the last three games, the nation's leading rusher has gained 897 yards and 6 touchdowns on the ground and, just when you think he can't top the previous week's performance, he does.
At this rate, Williams is going to run away with the Doak Walker Award and may even start to get some dark horse Heisman Trophy buzz.
Let's take a closer look at Williams' record breaking season:
Rushing Yardage, Career
With today's performance, Williams jumps two more spots on the school's all-time yardage record list, surpassing both Troy Stradford (3,504 yards) and Mike Cloud (3,597). Andre is ONLY averaging 188.5 yards a game is all -- no big deal -- and can set the school's career rushing record with 86 yards on the ground next weekend vs. Syracuse.
Rushing Attempts, Career
Williams is up another two spots with 32 more carries this week. That places him third on the school's all-time career rushing attempts list. Williams surpasses both Troy Stradford (658 carries from 1982-86) and Andre Callendar (637 from 2004-07). AW would have to average 59 carries a game over the Eagles' final two games -- @ Syracuse and a bowl game -- to tie Montel Harris' record 787 carries. That's not happening. I think.
Williams would have to average 20 carries a game over the final two games to move into second place which is achievable.
1. Montel Harris (2008-11) - 787 - 40 games
2. Derrick Knight (2000-03) - 708 - 46
4t. Andre Williams (2010-pres.) - 669 - 40
Rushing Attempts, Season
I'm noticing a trend here ... Williams is up two more spots on this list as well, jumping Mike Cloud (308 carries in 1998) and Montel Harris (308 carries in 2009). With 320 carries, Williams is now just one carry shy of tying Derrick Knight's record of 321 carries in 13 games during the 2003 season. He should set this record next week and more than pad his lead in this category over the final two games of the season.
1. Derrick Knight (2003) - 321 carries in 13 games
2. Andre Williams (2013) - 320 in 11
Rushing Attempts, Game
Williams ONLY had 32 carries vs. Maryland. Slacker. He still owns the school record with 42 carries in a game vs. both N.C. State (last week) and at Syracuse during his freshman season.
1t. Andre Williams (2013 vs. N.C. State) - 42
1t. Andre Williams (2010 vs. Syracuse) - 42
3t. Montel Harris (2009 vs. Maryland) - 41
3t. Fred Willis (1970 vs. Pittsburgh) - 41

Rushing Yardage, Season
Williams becomes the first Boston College running back in school history to eclipse the 2,000 mark rushing -- with two games to go. Incredibly, Williams is now 347 yards clear of Mike Cloud with two more games to do some damage.
1. Andre Williams (2013) - 2,073 in 11 games
2. Mike Cloud (1998) - 1,726 in 11
3. Derrick Knight (2003) - 1,721 in 13
4. William Green (2001) - 1,559 in 11
5. Montel Harris (2009) - 1,457 in 13
Rushing Yards, Game
Motion to rename this statistical category the "Andre Williams is a demigod Rushing Yards, Game" category:
1. Andre Williams (2013 vs. N.C. State) - 339 yards
2. Andre Williams (2013 vs. N.M. State) - 295
3. Montel Harris (2009 vs. N.C. State) - 264
4t. Andre Williams (2013 vs. Army) - 263
4t. Andre Williams (2013 vs. Maryland) - 263
Rushing Yardage, Play
Williams owns this school record as well with his 99-yard rushing touchdown last season at Army.
1. Andre Williams (2012 vs. Army) - 99 yards
2. Ed Walsh (1944 vs. Brooklyn) - 91
3. Dave Bennett (1968 vs. Navy) - 87
4. Mike Cloud (1998 vs. Temple) - 85
5. Emiddio Petrarca (1955 vs. Brandeis) - 84
Rushing Touchdowns, Career
Williams added a pair of touchdowns vs. Maryland to jump to fifth on the school's all-time list. Two more scores would place Williams third on the school's all-time list. Keith Barnette's record appears safe, but Williams can hop Montel Harris, Darnell Campbell and Troy Stradford when it's all said and done.
1. Keith Barnette (1973-75) - 34
2. William Green (1999-2001) - 33
3t. Montel Harris (2008-11) - 27
3t. Darnell Campbell (1991-93) - 27
3t. Troy Stradford (1982-86) - 27
5. Andre Williams (2010-pres.) - 26
Rushing Touchdowns, Season
Williams jumps William Green (2001), Mike Esposito (1973), Montel Harris (2009), Williams Green (2000) and Mike Cloud (1998) with two more scores today. His 16 touchdowns is good for third all-time.
1. Keith Barnette (1974) - 22
2. Darnell Campbell (1993) - 19
3. Andre Williams (2013) - 16
Rushing Touchdowns, Game
Earlier this year, Williams tied Montel Harris with five rushing touchdowns in the win over Army.

100 Yard Games, Season
Williams is now 9-for-11 in 100+ yard games this season. Move over, Montel Harris (8 100+ yard games in 2010), Montel Harris (8 in 2009) and Derrick Knight (8 in 2002). One more 100-yard performance in one of the Eagles' final two games would give Williams a share of the record -- along with Mike Cloud. 100-plus yards in each of the last two games would set the school record.
1. Mike Cloud (1998) - 10
2t. Derrick Knight (2003) - 9
2t. William Green (2001) - 9
2t. Chuckie Dukes (1992) - 9
2t. Andre Williams (2013) - 9
100 Yard Games, Career
Williams surpasses William Green with 14 career 100-yard games. That places Williams fifth on the school's all-time list, which is where he'll end his career. One of the few records that Williams won't break during his time on the Heights.
1. Montel Harris (2008-11) - 22
2t. Derrick Knight (2003-03) - 18
2t. Mike Cloud (1995-98) - 18
4. Troy Stradford (1982-83) - 17
5. Andre Williams (2010-pres.) - 14
Consecutive 100 Yard Games
Williams has rushed for 100+ yards in four straight games, placing him in a four-way tie for six on the school's consecutive 100 yard games list. Three more 100+ yard performances in his final three games will give him a share of the school record, 7, along with Mike Cloud.
1t. Mike Cloud (1998) - 7
1t. Chuckie Dukes (1992) - 7
3. Montel Harris (2010) - 6
4t. Montel Harris (2009) - 5
4t. William Green 2001 - 5
6t. David Green (1994) - 4
6t. Fred Willis (1970) - 4
6t. Troy Stradford (1986) - 4
6t. Andre Williams (2013) - 4
