This afternoon, Louisville coach Bobby Petrino announced that the Cardinals' leading receiver James Quick has been suspended indefinitely for a violation of team rules.
University of Louisville sophomore wide receiver James Quick has been suspended for a violation of teams rules, head coach Bobby Petrino announced.
The 6-foot-1 receiver from Louisville will not go tonight vs. Boston College.
While Quick leads the team in both yards (459) and receptions (31), he's settled back down into the #2 wide receiver position with the return of Louisville star wide out DeVante Parker. A foot injury kept Parker out for the first eight games of the season. Over the last two games, Quick has caught just 2 passes for 10 yards. Earlier this season, he had a 7 reception, 174 yards, 2 TD performance in a 34-3 win at Florida International.
With Quick out, the line has crept down just a hair to its opening Boston College +2.5 line. There was little movement in the line all week but at one point it got as high as Louisville -3.5.
