On Monday, the ACC announced game times and TV networks for the November 6, 8 slate of games. In a nice surprise for fans, Boston College's home game against the Louisville Cardinals will be a 7:15 p.m. kickoff televised on ESPN2.
This will be the Eagles third home night game this season, which has to be some sort of record, no? Earlier this year, BC hosted Pittsburgh on Friday night and then 9th ranked USC a week later on Saturday night. The Eagles came up short against the Panthers, losing 30-20, but notched the biggest upset in recent seasons with a 37-31 victory over the Trojans.
While postgame tailgating is out, which kinda sucks for fans, there's a lot to like about this development. Alumni Stadium has been a tough place to play for opposing teams over the years and a night game atmosphere should only give the home team a boost in this important ACC Atlantic Division matchup.
This will be the first ACC meeting between Boston College and Louisville. The two teams have met six times previously with the all-time series knotted at three, but not since the 1998 season -- a 52-28 blowout victory for the Cardinals.
