Boston College vs. Florida State: Eagles Open Up as 20 Point Underdogs

Vegas is not feeling the upset.

David Manning-USA TODAY Sports

Boston College will be traveling to Tallahassee on Saturday, and the Vegas wiseguys are not giving the Eagles much of a chance against the defending champion Florida State Seminoles.

According to the Wynn Las Vegas, the Eagles open as a 20 point underdog for this weekend's matchup.

Florida State enters the game with a 9-0 record, coming off a 30-26 come-from-behind victory against Miami at Sun Life Stadium. This season has been very different for the Seminoles, although they haven't lost a game yet, their point differential in their wins has been cut in half. Last year the Noles beat teams by an average of 39, this season it's down to 15.

Boston College on the other hand is licking their wounds after a tough loss at home two weekends ago against Louisville. The 6-4 Eagles will hope to replicate the magic they had in the first half last season against Florida State where they led until Jameis Winston hit a hail mary pass that gave the Noles a lead they never surrendered.

I know it's on the road, and I know BC put up a stinker last weekend against Louisville, but 20 points seems a bit steep against a Florida State team that hasn't been blowing teams out. Not saying the Eagles are going to win, but thinking the smart money might be on the Eagles in this one.

Let's hope the team comes out and takes the home crowd out, and maybe, just maybe the Boston College Eagles will be the first team to knock off Florida State in two years.
