Congratulations to Boston College senior wide receiver Alex Amidon, who, despite his team falling to Clemson 24-14 on Saturday, picked up ACC Receiver of the Week Honors. The senior caught six passes for a game-high 121 yards and a touchdown, including a career-long 69 yard reception in the third quarter to put the Eagles up 14-10.

Amidon has now gone over the 100-yard mark receiving in three games this season -- 146 vs. Villanova, 122 vs. Army and 121 vs. Clemson -- and 10 times overall, a new school record. In the last two games vs. the Tigers, Amidon has caught 14 passes for 314 yards and three touchdowns. The Greenfield, Mass. native threw in two rushes for 12 yards for good measure to finish with a game-high 133 all-purpose yards.

In addition to Amidon, Duke QB Anthony Boone, Duke OT Perry Simmons, Clemson DE Vic Beasley, Maryland LB L.A. Goree, Syracuse FS Durell Eskridge, Virginia Tech K Cody Journell and N.C. State CB Jack Tocho also received conference player of the week honors.

Congratulations, Alex.
