College football may be a little less than four months away, but that doesn't mean that Vegas odds are going to wait. The South Point Race and Book have released their opening odds for the first weekend of college football.
Boston College will be "hosting" Georgia Tech in Dublin, Ireland for the Emerald Isle Classic, and will also be underdogs according to the Sports Book. The opening line for the game has been set as Georgia Tech -4, meaning that the Yellow Jackets are expected to win by just a tad over a field goal. There are no other bets associated with any of the games right now such as over/under etc.
Other games of note that are relevant to Boston College include Wake Forest opening up at (-16) against Tulane, Florida has a gigantic (-37) spread against the University of Massachusetts, Clemson is (-8.5) at Auburn, and Florida State is a three point favorite against Ole Miss in Orlando.
Certainly these numbers will fluctuate in the upcoming months, especially as summer practices happen, but it's always interesting to take a look at those opening lines even before the summer months hit. What says you? Would you put money down on the Eagles in the opening week?
