Quick Lane Bowl: Boston College vs. Maryland Game Thread (2:30 PM, ESPN)

One last time in 2016, let’s crank it up.

We’ve arrived at the culmination of the 2016 Boston College football season and year #4 aboard the S. S. Addazio. It has been a challenging season, but three wins in the back half have the Eagles back in the postseason, facing off against a former conference foe in Maryland.

The Terps are slight favorites (listed as 2.5 point favorites in most books) but this is really about as close to a tossup as you can get. Maryland is #72 and BC is #81 in the Sagarin Rankings. Both teams have fattened up on bad teams, got blown out by top teams in their power conferences, and eeked out enough wins in conference play to earn a bowl berth.

BC has a little bit of momentum right now with their late season run to postseason eligibility and some big wins on the recruiting trail. Let’s hope the Eagles pick up the win and are able to ring in 2017 feeling good.
