Boston College played fairly well through the wind and the mist on Saturday at Alumni Stadium, shaking off another slow start to ease past Buffalo 35-3. Courtesy of the ACC Digital Network, here are the rain-soaked highlights:
BC held Buffalo to a total of 67 yards of offense, improving the Eagles to #1 in the nation in overall defense (with the giant caveat being obviously that three of BC’s games have come against pretty poor competition). The Bulls had just 26 rushing yards, and went 1-for-11 on third down conversions.
Patrick Towles had what would be fair to call his best game of the season so far through the air, going 14-for-25 for a season high 234 yards and a pair of passing touchdowns.
Less impressive was the rushing attack, which was only able to amass 2.5 yards per carry. However, it did improve somewhat as the game went on.
All facets of BC’s game will need to be firing on all cylinders on Friday night when the Eagles welcome Clemson to the Heights.
