The beat goes on for Boston College football, as the 3-4 Eagles carry their 0-4 ACC record in to Raleigh for a game against NC State.
Despite the Wolfpack’s blowout loss this past weekend against Louisville, NC State (4-3) is still overwhelmingly favored at home against the Eagles, with the opening line set at 15 1⁄2 points.
The Eagles were "only" 6 point underdogs in their most recent ACC road game, at Virginia Tech. In the end, they lost 49-0. That memory seems fresh in the minds of the oddsmakers, who are setting BC as huge ‘dogs in this one.
NC State is 5-2 against the spread this season, including a 7-point loss to Clemson when they were 21-point underdogs two weeks ago.
While BC hasn’t won an ACC game in a small eternity, they did cover the 3.5 point spread against Georgia Tech in the season opener in Dublin.
