Boston College and Notre Dame will be doing battle at Fenway Park on November 21st, that much we already knew. Today NBC through a press release, announced more details about the matchup.
First off, the game is going to be a 7:30 kickoff. Not a surprise given the legendary park and matchup between the two schools. A late game will be great for anyone who is going out somewhere to watch it, maybe a bar or a local saloon. Notre Dame was picked by SI today as the 4th best team in the country, this is going to be one heck of a matchup in our backyard.
However the bigger surprise is that the game is going to be on NBCSN, not NBC, and will be the one ND all year that will be on that network. Kind of a bummer because this would have been good publicity for the Eagles, instead it's buried on a network that many cable packages don't include.
Finally, it won't be all Notre Dame everything that night. Boston College legend Doug Flutie will be on the call, along with Dan Hicks and Kathryn Tappen on the sideline. Flutie has been part of the NBC team for a while so this isn't too much of a surprise, however it will be nice to have a little bit of maroon and gold on our side.
