Name: Bobby Wolford
Position: Fullback
Number: #36
Year: Listed as a Senior on BCEagles.com, but by all accounts he should be a Junior.
Height: 6-foot-2
Weight: 248 lbs.
Hometown: Jacksonville, FL
High School: Bishop Kenny
2013 Stats: Wolford played in 9 games as a redshirt freshman, catching nine passes for 105 yards and one touchdown. Had a career high six catches for 84 yards and one touchdown in the 2013 season opening win over Villanova back on August 31.
2014 Stats: Played in all 13 games for the Eagles as the starting fullback, caught the ball six times for 40 yards. Member of the Athletic Director's Award for Academic Achievement.
2015 Projections: I imagine that Wolford again will be the starting fullback for the Eagles in 2015. With Darius Wade throwing the ball, Wolford probably will be a little more involved in the passing game. Otherwise he will continue to open holes for the running game, something he did really well in 2013/14.
How'd He Get Here: A consensus three-star recruit out of high school, Wolford selected Boston College over claimed offers from BYU, Harvard, Navy, Princeton, Vanderbilt and Wake Forest. Recruited by Jeff Comissiong.
Twitter Feed: Nope
Uniform History: Of the 24 Eagles to wear the #36 jersey, six of them have been fullbacks. Most recently, fullback James McCluskey (Billerica, Mass.) wore the jersey for four years from 2007-10, serving as team captain his senior season. Other notable #36s include former LB and New England Patriots safety coach Brian Flores (2000-03) and Pittsfield, Mass. native Silvio Conte (1944-45), who attended BC under the G.I. Bill of Rights after serving in World War II. Yes, THAT Silvio Conte.
