He switched position after last season, what will Joel give BC this season?

Name: Joel Rich

Position: Tight End

Number: #54

Year: Sophomore

Height: 6 foot 3

Weight: 282  lbs.

Hometown: Paris, OH

High School: St. Thomas Aquinas

2013 Stats: Redshirted

2014 Stats: Played in all 13 games on special teams.

2015 Projections: Rich is going to probably need a little time to learn the center position as he transitions over from tight end. Frank Taylor most likely will be the starting center going into season, and barring any sort of injury he should get that slot all year. However Rich has as good of a shot as anyone to make the two deep this season.

How'd He Get Here: Joel Rich was a 3* tight end/defensive end from Paris Ohio that chose Boston College over Buffalo.

Twitter Feed: You can Joel at @54j_rich

Tweetable: Feeling good after the USC win last year

Uniform History: One of the first players to wear #54 was fullback Albert Luppi, a fullback in the early thirties. Jim Combs a linebacker and captain of the 1973 squad wore it, along with Shawn Regent a captain in 1985.. Nick Clancy, linebacker wore the number from 2009-2012. Ty Hall, a defensive tackle (who had the best father in the world), had it in the 2000's. Other players that wore it include Natick resident Gregg Dziama, linebacker Gene Ferris, and center Mike Ratigan. (If I missed someone please let me know!)
