Better Know A Dude 2015: #26 Wide Receiver David Dudeck

He has turned into one of BC's most experienced receivers...better get to know David Dudeck

Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports

Name: David Dudeck

Position: Wide Receiver

Number: #26

Year: Senior

Height: 5-foot-11

Weight: 194 lbs.

Hometown:Stuart, FL

High School: Hun School

2014 Statistics: Missed first two games of the season due to injury. Played in 11 games where he caught 13 receptions for 148 yards. His biggest catch of the year was against Penn State, where he made a TD grab in overtime, unfortunately after that REDACTED.

2013 Stats: David Dudeck only saw limited action in 2013 only one year after being Frank Spaziani's "feature back". He finished the 2013 season with 5 rushes for 8 yards. He did however play some slot receiver, where he caught 11 passes for 84 yards and one touchdown. He returned kicks, averaging 15.6 yards a return, and had three punt returns for 25 yards.

2015 Projection: I like Dudeck, and think he will be a weapon that Darius Wade will utilize more than Tyler Murphy did in 2014. As long as he stays healthy he will be on the two deep all season.

Over/Under: Three total touchdowns.

How'd He Get Here: Dudeck was a 2* recruit who chose Boston College over Northern Colorado, Yale and Navy in 2012. He was recruited by Mike Siravo and Mike Dawson.

Twitter Feed: There is a DDudeck26 Twitter account, but it appears just to be a spam bot. So no.

Uniform History: The earliest player to wear this number was quarterback Frank Colbert. Mike Esposito, a halfback and captain in 1974 wore it. Dan Abraham a one year starter at cornerback in 1983 wore it. Marcus Cherry (who I had as a professor) wore in 1986-89, in Dorchester linebacker Curtis Bolden wore twenty six from 1998-2000.

What does Addazio Have To Say About Dudeck:

"I’m telling you, that kid took about every snap in preseason camp,’’ Addazio said. "It was unbelievable sometimes the licking he would take. That gave Andre an opportunity to keep his body intact and fresh. That is a huge factor.

"It’s one of those unknown little things that people take for granted. But we don’t here. That guy right there is an unselfish guy who lays it on the line every day,’’ Addazio said. "You could tell him to play D-tackle, he’d run in there and do it. Those guys are invaluable."
