Boston College Football: Get To Know The Dudes - #3, WR Harrison Jackson

Jackson might spend the year as a ghost, but we're hopeful for a return in the future for the Virginia native wideout.

Crystal LoGiudice-USA TODAY Spor

Name: Harrison Jackson

Position: Wide Receiver

Year: Junior

Height: 6-foot-2

Weight: 204 lbs.

Hometown: Round Hill, VA

High School: Loudoun Valley

2013 Stats: Jackson didn't see a ton of balls as Chase Rettig's third option, but then again, nobody really saw a ton of passes besides Alex Amidon.  He did elevate to the second option in the passing game for a couple of games after Spiffy Evans went down, but he still didn't catch many footballs.  In total, he grabbed five balls for under 50 yards, including one touchdown against New Mexico State (thank God for hucka chucka football, right?).  During that Aggie game, though, he was drilled and collapsed on the sideline, eventually hospitalized with lung injuries.

2014 Projections: Prior to his injury, Jackson looked to be a guy poised for a breakout junior season.  With an entirely new backfield, the entire game plan for the Eagles looked for a guy who could step up and fill the void left by the graduation of Amidon and the departure of Evans.  Unfortunately, though, Jackson tore his ACL during spring practice and will miss the entire '14 season.

What The Recruiters Say: Jackson got three stars from Scout.com but was just a two-star recruit out of Loudoun Valley High School, per Yahoo Sports.  Recruited by Mike Siravo.

Zen Tweet Du Jour:

It took a really long time and a substantial amount of digging to come up with something, but once I did, well, let's just say the weird came right in like a wrecking ball.
