College Football Betting Picks, Week 14: Stanford-UCLA, Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate, Paul Bunyan's Axe, Egg Bowl And Iron Bowl

Weekly selections from the ACC, Big 12, Big Ten, SEC and Pac-12.

Marvin Gentry-USA TODAY Sports

Last week:

Jeff: 1-4 (30-35 on the year)
Brian: 2-3 (29-36 on the year)
ATL: 1-0 (5-6)

Brian:

Syracuse Orange at Boston College Eagles (-10) - This is a game that BC would traditionally never make easy. This is a different Boston College football team ready to turn the page and take care of business against a team it's expected to beat by double-digits.

Stanford Cardinal at UCLA Bruins (-4) - Really can't see the Cardinal offense managing much against a very good UCLA defense in its own right. With the Pac-12 South title on the line, the Bruins take care of business and down a checked out Stanford side.

Kentucky Wildcats at Louisville Cardinals (-13) - There's a decent shot that Louisville can nab Florida State's spot in the Orange Bowl with a convincing win this weekend and some help. After starting the season 5-1 (!), including consecutive SEC victories, Kentucky's stock has plummeted. The Wildcats have now lost five straight, including a 50-16 trouncing last weekend in Knoxville. Louisville wins big.

Minnesota Golden Gophers (+14) at Wisconsin Badgers - It'll be tough sledding for the Golden Gophers if leading rusher senior RB David Cobb can't go for Minnesota (1,430 yards). The Badgers have been straight up blasting opponents on the ground on the legs of Melvin Gordon. Gordon will almost certainly follow in Andre Williams' footprints this season: 2K yards, the Doak Walker and a New York City invite. Still, with a Big Ten Championship berth on the line, I like the Gophers to at least keep it close with Bucky.

Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (+13.5) at Georgia Bulldogs - The Jackets are flying under the radar despite a 9-2 record and #16 national ranking. Both programs have rolled opponents over the past few weeks, but Georgia's recent result vs. Florida in the Cocktail Party gives me enough hope that the Yellow Jackets can keep pace with the Bulldogs. Pretty big installment of Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate this year with both College Football Playoff and ACC bowl positioning (Orange Bowl?) implications. Should be a good one.

Jeff:

Tough week to find games I feel real good about so I'll just bet on playoff seeding chaos.

TCU Horned Frogs at Texas Longhorns (+7)

Florida Gators (+7.5) at Florida State Seminoles

Mississippi St. Bulldogs at Ole Miss Rebels (+3)

Auburn Tigers (+9.5) at Alabama Crimson Tide

Oregon Ducks at Oregon State Beavers (+20)

I don't expect to go 5-0 here but I have a better chance of going 5-0 with the underdogs than if I picked Alabama, Oregon, FSU, Mississippi St, and TCU. These picks should also be good enough to beat Brian.
