Despite playing Florida State more or less even, Boston College's bowl stock took a bit of a hit this week. That has as much to do with Notre Dame's late season collapse as much as anything BC has done on the field, but here we are—needing a win in the regular season finale to improve bowl positioning.

* replacement team
Changes this week:
– Schlabach takes BC out of the Music City Bowl vs. LSU and places the Eagles in the Duck Commander nee AdvoCare V100 Bowl vs. Houston. Gross.
– SB Nation replaces Western Michigan with Central Michigan as the replacement team in the Quick Lane Bowl, testing the theory as to whether one directional Michigan is better than another. Yay?
– CBS Sports swaps out Cincinnati for East Carolina in the Military Bowl.
– Phil Steele, who had been driving the BC-to-Bronx bus for several weeks, now has BC in Detroit against Northwestern. Bummer.
– Scout.com also bounced BC from the Pinstripe, placing the Eagles in the Sun Bowl vs. Washington. Interesting.
– The Sporting News has been on the BC-to-El Paso bandwagon for a while. This week, they swapped out Utah for...USC, a rematch of BC's 37-31 upset victory over the Trojans in week 3?
– Athlon also places Northwestern in Detroit. It was Rutgers last week.
