Last week:
Jeff: 1-4 (29-31 on the year)
Brian: 4-1 (27-33 on the year)
ATL: 1-0 (4-6)
Brian:
North Carolina Tar Heels at Duke Blue Devils (-6) - The North Carolina offense can put up a bunch of points (35.9 points per game). It's the defense that's really fallen off in Chapel Hill and statistically ranks as one of the worst in the country this week (allowing 511.6 yards per game, 125th or 128th in total defense). Duke's playing at home with another division title on the line. I know the Blue Devils have a quick turnaround but I can't see the Heels defense slowing Duke's rushing attack. Duke by at least a touchdown ... possibly two or three.
Boston College Eagles (+19.5) at Florida State Seminoles - Sure, why not?
Oklahoma State Cowboys at Baylor Bears (-27.5) - The Bears control the game from start to finish -- game control tho -- and win by at least four touchdowns.
Arizona Wildcats at Utah Utes (-4) - It's going to be a wild finish in the Pac-12 South, with FIVE teams still alive for a division title and a Pac-12 Championship Game berth. The division is now UCLA's to lose, oddly enough, and this is a matchup between the teams with the lowest odds of winning the division. Still, I like Utah in this one. Despite being a game back of Arizona in the standings, the Utes have more impressive wins this season and Rice-Eccles Stadium has been a tough venue for any Pac-12 team to play in.
Washington State Cougars at Arizona State Sun Devils (-16) - The Sun Devils have a slightly better chance of winning the Pac-12 South than Arizona or Utah. They need a big win here to keep the pressure on the USC/UCLA winner going into the Territorial Cup.
Jeff:
Virginia Tech Hokies (-15) at Wake Forest Demon Deacons - Virginia Tech came out on the right side of a close one last week after several close loses this season. Wake Forest is got murdered after almost pulling off an upset against Clemson in their previous outing. There probably won't be more than 5,000 in the stands at any given point Saturday at VT will beat up on Wake.
Louisville Cardinals (+3.5) at Notre Dame Fighting Irish - Notre Dame is apparently in the toughest stretch of their schedule and will finish off the season losing 4 straight and 5 of their last 6 after the 6-0 start. Notre Dame has not beaten a team with a winning record other than Rice. And you can imagine Rice's strength of schedule.
Miami-Florida Hurricanes (-6) at Virginia Cavaliers - I still don't understand why UVA is getting relative respect against one of the top teams in the ACC.
USC Trojans (+3) at UCLA Bruins - It's slim pickings this week so I'll hope bad UCLA shows up.
Vanderbilt Commodores (+30) at Mississippi St. Bulldogs - Just a guess that Vandy will lose by 14-20.
