A few college football prognosticators hopped off the Boston-College-as-bowl-eligible-team last week when the Eagles dropped a 21-17 decision to Colorado State. But there are still a few including BC in their projections this week.
Let's take a look at those projections:
ESPN (McMurphy): Military Bowl Presented by Northrup Grumman vs. Temple (12/27)
ESPN (Schlabach): Quick Lane Bowl vs. Minnesota (12/26)
SB Nation: No bowl
CBSSports: No bowl
Phil Steele: No bowl
Scout: New Era Pinstripe Bowl vs. Rutgers (12/27)
Syracuse Post-Standard / Patrick Stevens: BITCOIN St. Petersburg Bowl (12/26)
College Sports Madness: Quick Lane Bowl vs. Maryland (12/26)
The Sporting News: Quick Lane Bowl vs. Rutgers (12/26)
SB Nation (nooooooo .... whyyyyy), CBS Sports and Phil Steele are off the bandwagon, but the other sites still have BC notching three more wins this season. The consensus this week is the Detroit-based Quick Lane Bowl against either Minnesota (Schlabach) or Big Ten newcomers Rutgers (Scout.com) and Maryland (College Sports Madness).
Scout is sticking with its New Era Pinstripe Bowl prediction this week, with the Eagles opposite Rutgers. I get the sense that the Bronx would be preferable to Detroit.
ESPN's Brett McMurphy has BC in the Military Bowl facing Addazio's former program, which, fun!
Critical game this weekend at N.C. State. If BC doesn't come out on top this weekend in Raleigh, my guess is the remaining sites are gonna join SBN, CBS and Phil Steele in hopping off the BC bandwagon.
