Despite being one of three kickers still perfect on the year, Boston College senior kicker Nate Freese is not among the top 20 kickers in the nation according to the Palm Beach County Sports Commission. On Monday, the commission released the 20 semifinalists for the 2013 Lou Groza Collegiate Place-Kicker Award and Freese didn't make the cut.
Not sure if this is snub is the result of Freese not taking enough attempts or the school not pushing hard enough for his inclusion on this semifinalist list. Whatever the case may be, I think you can make the argument that Freese should have been among the top 20 kickers in the nation based on the stats below.
