Boston College Field Hockey Tops Harvard 1-0, Will Face Syracuse In ACC Championship

Eagles finish the regular season with a 13-5 record.

Despite getting out-shot 11-4 on the night, the 11th ranked Boston College field hockey team notched a 1-0 victory over Harvard Tuesday night at Jordan Field. Junior forward Kelcie Hromisin scored the game's only goal in the first minute of play on a feed from sophomore midfielder Emily McCoy.

With the win, the Eagles finish the regular season with a 13-5 record.

Over the weekend, BC learned its ACC Field Hockey Championship fate. After knocking off 8th ranked Virginia 5-3, the Eagles earned the #3 seed to next week's conference championship. Boston College (13-5, 3-3 ACC) will face a familiar foe in its first round matchup as the Eagles face sixth-seeded Syracuse (12-4, 2-4 ACC). Earlier this season, the Eagles defeated then fourth-ranked Syracuse, 3-2, in overtime.

BC's game against Syracuse will take place on Thursday, November 6 at 4:00 p.m. and be televised by ESPN3. Be sure to tune in as more #OrangeEagle points will be on the line next weekend in Durham.
