Miano was arguably the nation’s top defender in the 2017-2018 season, notching an 18-25—43 line to be by far the top scoring defender in D-I women’s hockey, also good for 13th in the country among all skaters. She was also one of the 10 finalists for the Patty Kazmaier Award, given to the top player in D-I Women’s Hockey.
She also did this...
Sooo today seems like an appropriate day to watch this Toni Ann Miano game-winning goal from the 2018 Beanpot Championship...#WeAreBC #WHEA pic.twitter.com/wUijCFmCYO

...which was really good and exciting. Who doesn’t love crushing the hearts of the Terriers in the Beanpot? Toni sure does!
The Boston Pride has become a sort of Boston College 2.0 the last few years, with no fewer than six Boston College alumnae on the team in the 2017-2018 season: Lexi Bender, Dana Trivigno, Kaliya Johnson, Emily Field, Maegan Mangene, and American Hero Haley Skarupa. If they all returned for the new season, then Burt and Miano would make it eight Eagles on the team.
Congratulations to Toni Ann on signing her first pro contract, and hopefully there are many overtime game-winners in her professional future!
