BC Women’s Hockey Forward Rachel Moore Will Transfer To Holy Cross

The sophomore looks likely to get more playing time with the new D1 program

Next season’s stacked Boston College Women’s Hockey roster is bursting at the seams, and the resulting glut of position players has seen the first Eagle transfer to another program.

Sophomore forward Rachel Moore, who left the BC roster mid-season, will be transferring to Holy Cross according to social media reports. The Crusaders will complete their jump to a full-time, full-scholarship Division I program this season, which will be their first in Hockey East.

Moore posted one assist in her two years with the Eagles, and provided some depth on a short BC bench the last couple seasons. But with only two skaters graduating, three Olympic heroes returning to the blue line, plus an excellent incoming recruiting class and a big-time transfer from out west, playing time is going to be hard to come by for some of the players who have found themselves on the lower lines.

Moore’s transfer to Worcester is a great move for her hockey career. She has two years of eligibility remaining and will be playing much more important minutes with the up-and-coming Crusaders team.

We wish Rachel the best of luck as she continues her hockey career in Worcester for Holy Cross’s first season in Hockey East!
