BC Women’s Hockey Announces Incoming Freshman Class

Two U18 national team players highlight another strong recruiting class

Patrick Daly, BC Athletics

Boston College Women’s Hockey head coach Katie Crowley announced on Wednesday next season’s incoming freshman class, who will graduate in the class of 2022 (...we’re getting old). Six new Eaglets will join the squad for next season, plus Cayla Barnes, who started this season with the team but is currently barnstorming with the US Olympic Team and will restart her freshman year next season.

Three forwards, two goaltenders, plus a defenseman join BC’s incoming class, with two — American forward Kelly Browne and Canadian goaltender Maddy McArthur — who played with the U18 national team for their respective countries.

You can read a full introduction to each player here at BC’s official announcement, but it looks to be a class with both depth and high-end talent. With the six strong incoming freshmen, plus three (!) players returning from the Olympics, you get the feeling that next year could be a special one for the Eagles.

Welcome to the Heights, Kelly, Kelly, Jillian, Olivia, Maddy, and Savannah!
