Boston College Men’s Ice Hockey v. Vermont: Final Thoughts and Predictions

NCAA Men’s Frozen Four Semifinals: Boston College v North Dakota Photo by Elsa/Getty Images

The Boston College Eagles look for their first win of the year as they open up Hockey East play against Merrimack in a home-and-home series.

BREAKING DOWN THE GAME

  1. BC WON A GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In all seriousness, that game Saturday evening was juuuuuust what the doctor ordered. A pretty solid beatdown at home should get the Eagles back on track and the monkey off their back.

2. Scouting Vermont: The Catamount already have one common opponent: Quinnipiac. Despite losing, Vermont won the Corsi battle. Expect UVM to play possession-based hockey.

Random, Possibly Incorrect Fact from UVM’s Wikipedia Page

Three members of Phish attended UVM which is totally 100% accurate and believable.

Alcoholic Beverage of the Game

Devil’s Backbone, Vienna Lager

I had this while I was watching the Miami football game in Washington. Brewed in Lexington, Virginia, it goes down smooth. Great for a having a couple.

BEANPOT WATCH 2019: THE MEDIOCRITY

BU won a game! Yay! It beat Northeastern! No!

Predictions:

This feels like a series for BC to start putting the pedal to the metal. Vermont is a decent, but very beatable team, and at the friendly confines of Kelley RInk, BC should have the advantage.
