The Schnide Continues: Boston College Men’s Ice Hockey Loses Fifth Straight, Downed by Merrimack 2-1

The losing streak was extended to five games for the Boston College Eagles Friday night as the Eagles fell to the Merrimack Warriors 2-1 at Lawler Rink in North Andover, Mass.

The Eagles controlled the opening of the game, but conceded a goal off a defensive miscue on the penalty to give Merrimack the 1-0 lead. From there on, the Warriors controlled the play, and the Eagles, even after scoring a goal to pull themselves to a 2-1 defect, looked a step behind the Warriors all night.

Logan Hutsko scored the lone goal for the Eagles in the waning moments of the second period.

There is no other way to put it: this is really really bad. The Eagles do not look up to form, and haven’t looked up to form for the entire year thus far. Something needs to change in the Eagles’ play because they don’t look like a team that is a threat to most opponents.
